Sheyda’s journey into doula work was influenced by the holistic and compassionate care she received from her own doulas and midwives during the birth of her first child. Their empowering support inspired her to bring her own sensitivity and creativity into this meaningful work. As a postpartum doula, Sheyda offers hands-on assistance with postpartum recovery, lactation and newborn care while also being a compassionate listener and advocate for her clients' well-being. She is passionate about new parents receiving the support they deserve during this precious time in the life cycle.
Caitlin’s decision to become a doula was many years in the making. As a child, she spent many years announcing to others that she wanted to help babies be born (perhaps foreshadowing for how she’d love to talk about birth to anyone and everyone as an adult). After attending several births in nursing school, and witnessing her best friend’s birth firsthand, she finally heeded the call and took her first birth doula training. Little did she know when she signed up for said training, she was expecting her first! Giving birth for the first time solidified for Caitlin that birthwork was her calling, and she hasn’t looked back since. She continues to practice as an RN, supports families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum as a doula, and is an IBCLC in training. Caitlin’s devotion to caring for others is evident in all that she does, and holding space for new parents in the earliest, tenderest days of their journey is yet another extension of that. She is honored at the possibility to serve and witness others in this way.
